Which wheat flour is right for you?

  • Organic Whole Wheat Flour: stone cold-milled with the bran and germ kept in. Our everyday atta for soft chapatis and rotis.
  • Sprouted Wheat Flour: whole wheat that is sprouted, dried and then milled. It has a gently sweet taste and works well for rotis, parathas and baking.
  • Emmer Wheat Flour (khapli / jave godhi): an ancient wheat traditionally grown in Karnataka and Maharashtra. Nutty and slightly denser, in packs from 500g to 5kg.
  • Organic Unbleached Maida: refined wheat flour made without bleaching agents, for cakes, naan and baking.
  • Barley Flour (jau atta): stone-ground, for mixing into rotis or making a simple porridge.
  • Rava: suji rava for upma and kesari bath, bansi rava and chiroti rava.

Save with our combo packs: ragi + whole wheat and sprouted ragi + sprouted wheat.

Frequently asked questions

Is khapli (emmer) wheat gluten-free?

No. Emmer is a wheat and contains gluten, as do barley and maida. If you avoid gluten, choose from our gluten-free flours.

What does stone cold-milled mean?

The grain is ground slowly between stones at a low temperature instead of in high-speed roller mills. The whole grain stays together, and the flour has a fuller aroma and a slightly coarser texture.

How should I store wheat flour?

Keep it in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Whole-grain flours are best used fresh, so in hot, humid months store them in the fridge and use them before the best-before date.
