Dhatu Organics' Activated Millet Flours are made from certified organic millets that have been soaked overnight to trigger natural enzyme activity — a traditional process known as bioactivation. Soaking breaks down phytic acid (an antinutrient that blocks mineral absorption), activates dormant enzymes, and makes iron, calcium, magnesium and B vitamins significantly more bioavailable. The activated grains are then gently sun-dried and stone cold-milled to produce a fine, flavourful flour that retains maximum nutrition.
All our activated millet flours are 100% gluten-free, vegan, and free from preservatives or additives. They are ideal for rotis, dosas, pancakes, porridge, muffins, and ladoos. With a low-to-medium glycaemic index and high dietary fibre content, they are an excellent everyday flour for diabetics, weight watchers, and anyone seeking cleaner nutrition.
