Sprouted Ragi Porridge Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Dhatu Organics Sprouted Ragi Flour
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 cup milk (or coconut/almond milk for a vegan option) - Simple Almond Milk Recipe
  • 2 tbsp jaggery or honey (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp ghee (optional)
  • 4-5 almonds or cashews (chopped, for garnish)

Directions

  1. Prepare the Ragi Mixture
    In a small bowl, mix the sprouted ragi flour with ½ cup of water to form a smooth paste without lumps.
  2. Cook the Porridge
    Heat the remaining 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Once it starts simmering, add the ragi mixture slowly, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
    Cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring often until the mixture thickens.
  3. Add Sweetener and Flavor
    Add milk and stir well. Let it cook for another 2 minutes.
    Mix in jaggery and cardamom powder. Stir until the jaggery dissolves completely.
  4. Enhance with Garnish
    Add ghee (if using) and mix well.
    Garnish with chopped almonds or cashews.
  5. Serving
    Serve warm for a nourishing breakfast or energy-boosting snack!
