Dhatu Organics Sprouted Ragi Porridge Mix is a simple, traditional porridge flour made from 100% sprouted ragi (finger millet). The ragi is soaked until it sprouts, then dried and milled, so it cooks quickly into a smooth, comforting porridge for the whole family.

Why sprouted ragi?

  • Single ingredient: only sprouted ragi, with no added sugar, salt, preservatives or flavours.
  • Naturally rich in calcium: ragi is one of the best cereal sources of calcium, with far more than rice or wheat.
  • Light and smooth: sprouting makes the flour lighter and helps it cook into a lump-free porridge.
  • Naturally gluten-free: ragi contains no gluten.

How to make ragi porridge

Whisk 2 tablespoons of the mix into a cup of cold water or milk until there are no lumps. Cook on a low flame, stirring all the time, for 5–7 minutes until it thickens. Sweeten with a little jaggery, or make it savoury with buttermilk and a pinch of salt.

For little ones

Many families introduce ragi porridge when their baby starts solid food. Please talk to your paediatrician about when and how to introduce any new food, start with a small, smooth and well-cooked portion, and don't add salt, sugar or honey for babies under one year.

Storage

Keep the pack sealed and airtight in a cool, dry place, and use a dry spoon.
