Measure Flaxseeds

Start by measuring the desired amount of flaxseeds. You can activate any quantity depending on your preference.

Rinse Flaxseeds

Place the flaxseeds in a bowl and rinse them thoroughly under cold running water.

Soak Flaxseeds

  • Transfer the rinsed flaxseeds back to the bowl and cover them with water. Use approximately three times the volume of water to flaxseeds.
  • Allow the flaxseeds to soak for about 4-6 hours. This step softens the seeds and water will be completely absorbed by the seeds.

Drain and Spread

  • After soaking, drain the water (if any) using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  • Spread the soaked flaxseeds on the butter paper/parchment paper thinly or to form one layer.

Dehydrate

Dehydrate this activated flaxseed at low temperature (@ 420C). After drying, this will look like a cracker sheet.

Store

Break the crackers and store them in bottles in a cool and dry place. Consume as and when required. Applying on the skin, black castor oil may help in soothing sunburns, rashes, skin redness, and itching. It has a moisturizing effect on the skin and can be great for dry skin. Castor oil finds great application in natural therapies (alternative medicines or complementary therapies) and also as a home remedy in many countries. Facebook Twitter LinkedIn WhatsApp
