Dhatu Organics' raw peanuts are sourced from NPOP-certified farms in Gujarat — India's primary groundnut belt. Unlike market peanuts that may be bleached, fumigated, or artificially dried, these are naturally sun-dried and packed without any processing, preservatives, or coatings. Their pale, papery skins are intact, carrying additional phenolic compounds that are removed in blanching.

In the Kitchen

  • Roasted Groundnut Chutney — dry-roasted, rubbed to remove skins, blended with green chilli, tamarind, and salt; a staple in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh
  • Peanut Ladoo — roasted peanuts bound with jaggery, cardamom, and ghee
  • Trail Mix — mixed with dried fruit, seeds, and dark chocolate for an energy-dense snack
  • Groundnut Oil Extraction — cold-pressed at home using a traditional oil press (Ghani) for pure groundnut oil
  • Peanut Butter — blend roasted peanuts until smooth in a high-powered blender; add salt to taste
  • Shengdana Usal — Maharashtrian curried peanuts, cooked in a coconut-onion gravy

To roast: spread on a dry tawa over medium flame for 8–10 minutes, stirring constantly. The skins will begin to blister and slip off when rubbed between palms after cooling. Store roasted peanuts in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Storage

Store raw peanuts in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from moisture. Best used within 10 months. Do not store in humid conditions — peanuts are susceptible to aflatoxin mould if exposed to moisture.
