Dhatu Organics Himalayan Soapnuts (reetha) are the dried fruit shells of the soapberry tree. They contain saponin, a natural cleanser that makes a mild lather in water, and have been used in India for washing clothes and hair for generations.
How to use
- Laundry: tie 4–6 shells in a cloth bag and add to the wash; reuse 3–4 times.
- Liquid cleaner: boil a handful of shells in water for 20 minutes, cool and strain for a gentle cleaner for dishes, jewellery and household surfaces.
